Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisionmaking. Following a period of onsite training this position offers the flexibility of either officebased work or a hybrid working arrangement.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accuracy and timing of all financial reports.
• Reconcile control accounts and process monthly journals.
• Assist with daytoday accounting tasks.
• Oversee VAT corporation tax and expense tax calculations for submission and compliance.
• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Support audit preparations and assist auditors during audits.
• Manage the fixed asset register and ensure compliance with UK GAAP.
• Prepare monitor and manage budgets ensuring accurate forecasting and effective allocation of resources to meet financial objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial procedures.

Skills Knowledge and Experience:

• Accountancy qualification (CIMA ACA ACCA) preferred but relevant experience and/or studying for a qualification will be considered.
• Commercially minded and able to thrive in an organisation that is growing and changing.
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.
• Experience with financial systems Microsoft Nav/Business Central an advantage but not necessary as training is provided and tools such as Excel.
• Strong proficiency in profit and loss balance sheet and cash flow management.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the department and with nonfinance personnel.
• Experience leading a small finance team is desirable.
