Information Security Specialist

The Specialist - Information Security is responsible in ensuring the effeciency of all existing security systems and make changes or improvement recommendations as needed. The role also assumes the responsibility of safeguarding an organization's information assets and technology systems from potential threats, breaches, and vulnerabilities. Information Security Specialists play a critical role in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities 1

Develop and implement information security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization's digital assets.

Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align security efforts with organizational goals.

Identify and assess security risks and vulnerabilities through regular risk assessments and penetration testing.

Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to address identified weaknesses.

Design, implement, and maintain security measures across IT systems, networks, applications, and infrastructure.

Ensure that security measures align with industry best practices and compliance requirements.

Implement and manage security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), encryption, and endpoint protection solutions.

Develop and execute incident response plans to address security breaches, cyberattacks, and data breaches.
