Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with robust design experience to join their growing company with opportunities available in both the Lakeland and Nashville offices.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering design for electrical engineering projects.
  
• Manage and assist with all phases of various electrical engineering projects including design development preparation of presentation drawings and specifications reports design review and coordination and correlation of construction drawings.
  
• Coordinate with the design team to incorporate design intent into construction documentation and specifications.
  
• Collaborate with the design team and A2H project managers during construction to respond to questions provide clarifications visit the site resolve issues and review submittals and shop drawings.
  
• Develop strong professional relationships with clients regulators and agencies.
  
• Maintain project document files including meeting notes financial information client correspondence and project schedules.
  
• Ensure the accuracy of technical documents through Quality Assurance reviews at different phases of the project.
  
• Participate in planning cost development and management and scheduling for assigned projects.
  
• Engage in marketing and business development activities including developing project proposals and providing technical expertise.
  

Requirements:

• Registered Engineer with a strong preference for licensure in the state of Tennessee.
  
• Ability to obtain professional engineering registration in multiple states.
  
• Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience as an electrical engineer.
  
• Project management experience on design/build projects.
  
• Proficiency in Revit Structure and AutoCAD.
  
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles practices and techniques.
  
• Thorough understanding of integrated construction documents and the ability to communicate and quantify design intent through drawings and specifications.
  
• Strong technical writing skills.
  
• LEED Accreditation is a plus.
  
• Ability to use technology to collaborate with design team members in other offices.
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and comfortably.
  
• Proven team mentality and experience with client interaction and teamwork.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software especially Word Excel and Outlook.
