Our dynamic team of architects manufacturing engineers and industrial designers is seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Piping Systems Design Engineer to join our ranks. Youll play a key role in the entire product lifecycle from design and development to validation specifically focusing on prefabricated MEP components.
Heres what youll do:
- Collaborate with a diverse team to ensure seamless integration of piping systems into prefabricated MEP components.
- Leverage your expertise in plumbing and sprinkler engineering to design and model intricate building piping systems using advanced 3D modeling software.
- Generate detailed shop drawings and comprehensive bills of materials for optimal fabrication.
- Develop clear work instructions and assembly drawings for internal and customer use.
- Contribute to innovation by applying your experience to improve existing piping solutions.
- Maintain rigorous quality standards throughout all project phases.
- Participate in defining product requirements data sheets and specifications.
- Assist with developing test criteria and supplier qualification processes.
- Review shop drawings and submittals from vendors and fabricators.
- Stay current on industry trends new materials and code changes.
- Uphold high standards of productivity quality work and collaboration.

- Extensive experience in plumbing and sprinkler engineering particularly within the building component coordination space.
- Proven ability to design and model various piping systems (sanitary & vent sprinkler storm domestic hot & cold water support hanger detailing).
- Experience with detailed shop drawing and bill of materials creation.
- A collaborative spirit and strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Belief in Assemblys approach to modular building with a commitment to precision and seamless component integration.
- Experience working on midtohigh rise multifamily projects or largescale facilities.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations ensuring designs adhere to all relevant constraints.
- Problemsolving skills to creatively address technical challenges inherent in modular construction.
- High selfmotivation flexibility and resourcefulness.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in plumbing and sprinkler engineering.
- Modular construction or prefabrication experience a plus.
- Strong leadership written & verbal communication and organizational skills.
