Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support business analytics and reporting needs.
  
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business objectives.
  
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve performance and reduce latency.
  
• Develop and maintain data models schemas and dictionaries for various data sources.
  
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing performance and reliability.
  
• Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  
• 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  
• Strong proficiency in Clouderas distribution of Hadoop (CDH) or similar Hadoopbased platforms.
  
• Experience with Denodo for data virtualization and integration.
  
• Proficiency in Informatics PowerCenter or similar ETL tools.
  
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases data modeling and SQL.
  
• Handson experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
