Job Description
Multistate design firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer (Traffic/Technology) for their team in Des Moines!
Responsibilities:
- Assist with more complex projects
- Conduct citywide safety studies improve signal systems and evaluate/design Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
- Lead traffic planning studies designs and operations tasks/projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5 years of relevant traffic engineering experience
- PE License
- Experience working on Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) or Iowa municipal projects
- Experience in traffic analysis design and traffic studies
- Working knowledge of software including Synchro SimTraffic HCS VISSIM or other similar software
- Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation)
Salary is commensurate with experience.
