Software Engineer

A leading company in the agricultural technology sector is seeking a Software Engineer to join their innovative team. As a Software Engineer you will be integral to the project lifecycle from design to commissioning playing a key role in developing control systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop control descriptions for programming PLCs and control panels based on P&ID and flow diagrams.
  
• Program PLCs and control panels.
  
• Implement and test software on machines and projects.
  
• Contribute to the quotation process by providing insights into control systems and processes for new machines or projects.
  
• Support the service department during the commissioning of machines and projects including onsite assistance both domestically and internationally.
  
• Assist the service department in troubleshooting potentially also onsite.
  

Requirements

• Holds a higher vocational education (HBO) level of work and thought.
  
• Demonstrable extensive experience in a similar role.
  
• Knowledgeable in drive technology pneumatics and preferably refrigeration installations.
  
• Skills in drawing or modifying electrical diagrams in Eplan are a plus.
  
• Familiar with machine safety standards especially at the electrical/control level.
  
• Accurate analytical and structured with good administrative abilities.
  
• Capable of working well in a team and independently.
  
• Open to incidental travel.
