Job Description:
The Active Directory Services (ADS) team provides crucial services such as the configuration and management of Active Directory and Microsoft Identity Manager. This team is essential in managing Active Directory groups and user objects the MIM joiner mover and leaver process and maintaining business continuity and security across the organizations platforms.
Responsibilities:
Operational:
- Administer and manage Active Directory Services
- Manage and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- Work with Global Catalog Servers and Schema
- Support and implement global standards for authentication authorization and directory services
- Create and maintain AD environment management documentation as needed
- Establish and maintain best practices for onboarding transfers and offboarding processes for AD accounts (User Service Generic Vendor)
- Follow and contribute to processes and procedures for system deployment maintenance and administration activities in line with company policies industry standards and recommended practices
- Manage production and maintenance of system documentation and standard operating procedures
- Create documentation/knowledge base articles for other support members/teams to follow
- Perform problem management and incident correlation on recurring issues and document workarounds and solutions
- Collaborate with other IT Services team members on design and troubleshooting issues
- Work with vendors to maintain software and hardware within supported versions
- Participate in an ADS team on call rota outside of normal working hours to resolve major incidents
- Track process improvements and manage continual service improvement initiatives
- Work as part of a geographically separated team
- Solve problems quickly and completely and communicate solutions clearly to peers customers and management
- Document disaster recovery procedures and perform regular tests
- Handle troubleshooting and breakfix (Incidents & Service requests)
- Conduct systematic and periodic application/infrastructure availability checks/tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role within an enterprise organization
Essential Skills:
- Good knowledge of AD architecture and infrastructure (LDAP Directory Replication Restoration group policy security schema changes etc.)
- Experience with DNS Kerberos and Windows Authentication including Single SignOn technologies
- Knowledge and troubleshooting skills for Group Policy on local workstations and servers
- Understanding of Cyber Security Awareness and Vulnerability Management
- Knowledge of ransomware
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- ITIL V3 Service Operations knowledge (Event Management Incident Management Change Management and Problem Management)
- Ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Solid understanding of the ITIL framework
