Job Title: Sr Software Engineer
Job Location: Annapolis MD (Hybrid 2 days remote)

Our team here at Optimoz is searching for a Sr Software Engineer to join our team! As a Sr Software Engineer you will be supporting our client s project needs and our internal applications. The first project you will be joining (hybrid schedule) is to assist our client with designing developing and maintaining their primary applications.
- Design & Development Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement software solutions.
- Deployment & Infrastructure Deploy microservices to Kubernetes clusters utilizing CI/CD pipeline. Monitor and troubleshoot production systems.
- Quality Assurance Conduct system testing and debugging activities.
- Message Brokers Work with RabbitMQ for message queuing and event streaming.
- Documentation & Communication Document technical specifications architecture and design decisions.
- Reporting A weekly report communicating project progress and status.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience in software development
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of the use of design patterns
- Spring JPA experience
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Frontend experience utilizing React and/or Angular
- Experience with either RabbitMQ or Kafka for message queuing.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field 2 to 5+ years of hands-on programming experience Hands-on experience in Python and/or Java Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Apache Struts, Hibernate, Apache Camel, JSON, XML, XSLT, JPA, jUnit, EJB, WSDL, SoapUI, JDBC, SQL, JMeter, Log4j, JavaScript, Angular, ReactJS Experience in developing web services using SOAP and REST Experience working with databases such Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL Experience in a microservices architecture Experience in Continuous integration, deployment, and release management tools.
