BioTechnique is a sterile injectable full service CDMO providing cytotoxic and therapeutic sterile injectable fillfinish services. From IND applications through commercial scale production we provide formulation and compounding fillfinish and lyophilization services for a wide variety of liquid injectables. Your Role

The Business Development Manager will be an experienced leader in the development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships that support business growth. The function supports the growth of strategic business opportunities that align with BioTechnique s vision and capabilities and ensures execution that exceeds client expectations. The incumbent is also responsible and accountable for the execution of the PSC Biotech and BioTechnique mission to maintain the integrity and professionalism of our products and services while enabling steady growth and development."

  • Create and train a highfunctioning collaborative business development team. The team should be able to manage reach outs writing proposals following up with customers sending necessary project materials manage RFI/RFP activities etc.
  • Developing new business opportunities that align with organizational capabilities to secure new or expanded revenue streams across contract research contract development drug substance manufacturing drug product manufacturing stability cold chain and 3PL capabilities and 503(b) compounding pharmacy.
  • Use a proactive consultative sales strategy to effectively overcome client objections and maximize sales effectiveness.
  • Develop effective proposals and persuasively close new business opportunities.
  • Define measures of profitability for BioTechnique with the executive/management team and ensure proposals meet minimum standards for profitability.
  • Proactively follow up on submitted information (i.e. inquiries RFPs proposals etc.) as appropriate.
  • Maintain documentation of sales activities in CRM to facilitate appropriate reporting of client contacts notes opportunities and sales pipeline.
  • Accurately forecast monthly quarterly and annual revenue streams.
  • Foster strategic external relationships to facilitate targeted business growth.
  • Raise brand awareness through presentation of organizational capabilities at inhouse training events webinars tradeshows conferences and industry events.
  • Lead a team of key internal stakeholders to review new business opportunities.
  • Prepare a business case for new opportunities and identify risks associated.
  • Manage team to prepare proposals and sales contracts using BioTechnique ACE IT infrastructure or other tools as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong and effective partnerships with internal stakeholders in Operations Quality Regulatory Project/Program Management and Finance.
  • Support CRM and Project Management tool development within ACE alongside the software team (customer records proposals invoicing PM organization etc).
  • Mentor and coach interns entry level and junior staff to accelerate their skills and contributions to BioTechnique.
  • At all times demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior and personal integrity. Operate with the highest professional business ethics when dealing with clients colleagues and government entities.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.



Requirements

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration Communications Life Sciences or equivalent.
  • 710 years of proven business development and sales experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing/CDMO space.
  • Extensive knowledge of cGMP and drug development processes.
  • Prior pharmaceutical/CDMO experience in technical functions of development or manufacturing.
  • Proven success in effectively targeting opportunities for growth and prospecting and nurturing potential leads.
  • Proven success in achieving or exceeding sales goals.
  • Indepth knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the life science sector.
  • Familiarity with use of CRM LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other tools for effective sales.
  • Proactive gogetter attitude and passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Goaloriented ability to set goals and develop/drive action plans.
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers and additional stakeholders.
  • Ability to train and coach junior team members.
  • Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking skills.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Travel required.
