Description:
The Level II Responsible Artificial Intelligence (RAI) Technical Writer will work remotely to produce clear concise and engaging documentation that effectively communicates complex AI methodologies and best practices to a diverse audience. The role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams including researchers engineers and product managers to ensure the CDAOs RAI tools and methodologies are accurately documented to meet the needs of users and stakeholders in the Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills proficiency in documenting complex technical concepts and at least 3 years of experience in technical writing preferably in AI machine learning or software development.

Requirements

Security Clearance: SECRET (Required)

Location: Fully Remote

Education: Bachelors degree in English Technical Communication Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • 3 years of experience in technical writing preferably in the AI machine learning or software development domain.
  • Proficiency in documenting complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate technical jargon into clear and concise documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Major Duties/Tasks:
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to understand responsible AI technologies and methods and distill critical information into clear and accessible documentation.
  • Creates and maintains a range of technical documents including user guides API documentation release notes and knowledge base articles.
  • Develops tutorials whitepapers and case studies to educate users on best practices for implementing responsible AI solutions.
  • Reviews technical documentation produced by contracted vendors for consistency accuracy and harmony with corpus of CDAO RAI products.
  • Gathers feedback from users and internal stakeholders to continuously improve documentation quality and usability.
  • Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and AI technology as well as DoD U.S. Government and international policies as necessary.
  • Scrupulously follows security classification and public release policies and procedures to ensure documents are properly marked and handled.
