As a Legal Counsel IT & Digital you will support and work closely with Axpo Group Legal Services Team based in Axpos HQ in Baden Switzerland. Our interdisciplinary team in Group Legal Services addresses highly topical issues across the entire energy value chain. We maintain close contact internally and with external clients and are networked both nationally and internationally. What you will do:

• Manage various IT matters including software licensing SaaS agreements enduser license agreements (EULAs) and other related contracts.
• Negotiate draft and review a broad range of legal documents related to IT procurement and digital projects including contracts with international service providers and technology partners.
• Support and enhance the data protection management system including data mapping projects maintaining Records of Processing Activities and identifying data protection risk areas.
• Conduct and review (D)PIAs manage Data Subject Requests maintain process controls and organize training courses to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

What you bring & who you are:

• Completed legal studies (Masters degree from an EEA/EU University) preferably admitted to the bar.
• Minimum of 24 years of experience in negotiating IT contracts in an international law firm or a global organization.
• CIPP or similar data protection certification preferred.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with crossfunctional teams.
• Open mindset and strong communication skills.
• Team player.
• Fluent in English; German desirable. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
