Oversees Maintenance and Electrical staff and the management of all activities that supports daily operations.
Improves reliability and performance of new and existing equipment in the plant which entails maintaining productivity gains improving mean time between failures elimination of chronic failures and improving ease of maintenance.
Implements workflow ensures environmental and safety compliance quality of work and adherence to timelines and contract terms conflict resolution between department/leaders and contractors and coordinates resources based on production schedules from the plant to ensure smooth execution of mechanical work.
Plan develop and implement procedures designed to reduce downtime and optimize the utilization of materials and assets. Coordinate between maintenance and operations so that contractor work has minimal impact on the production plan.
Ensures contractors have met all safety requirements scope of work definitions monitoring work several times per day sign off that work is complete approval for modification of work being done or additional work.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedule.
Manages the work order issuance to the vendor/contractor and completion which includes documentation in the computerized maintenance system.
Annual review and action plan for each contractor. Contract review with purchasing for each vendor.
Deliver corrective action plans as needed including the PIP process when necessary.
Responsible for driving the continuous improvement culture through the scope of mechanical and electrical repair preventative maintenance maintenance planning grounds and facilities janitorial mobile equipment waste removal and construction.
Accountable for improving and sustaining Maintenance unit cost at or below industry standard.
Twoyear degree or equivalent courses and/or 5 years experience in industrial supervision a fouryear degree preferred.
Maintenance/electrical background is required.
Project management experience and formal Lean manufacturing training is preferred.
Prior experience in supervising a maintenance crew and experience with vendor supervision and compliance.
Experience in continuous process environment.
Must demonstrate a proficient working knowledge of pneumatic convey hydraulics electronics welding have excellent problemsolving skills.
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Possess the following KPI s: results focused planning & organization technical knowledge & troubleshooting communications proficiency and visionstrategy.
Willing to work in rigorous environment including extreme heat cold dust and wet conditions.
Must be able to walk climb twist turn grasp lift push pull reach bend squat and work on platforms in excess of 100 feet.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
