As a Technical Sales Specialist you will play a key role in driving sales and delivering innovative technology solutions to retail businesses within your designated region. This position requires a blend of deep retail operations knowledge and technical expertise to provide IT solutions that streamline operations enhance customer experiences and foster business growth.
In this role you will engage with retail clients to understand their unique challenges and recommend customized IT solutions to meet their needs.
- Client Engagement and Solution Selling: Cultivate strong relationships with retail businesses understand their challenges identify opportunities for our suite of retailfocused IT solutions including pointofsale systems inventory management software etc. and recommend customized IT solutions to meet their needs.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closure. Track leads follow up on opportunities and ensure timely progression of deals through the sales cycle.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our technical team to ensure seamless implementation and integration of IT solutions for clients. Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and initiatives to drive sales in the retail sector. Interact with clients vendors contractors and visitors to ensure smooth project implementation and ongoing support.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends competitor offerings and emerging technologies in the retail sector. Use market insights to identify new business opportunities and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
- Research and Presentation: Conduct research compile data and prepare papers for consideration and presentation to project/organizational leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Business Administration or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g. in Sales IT or Project Management) are a plus. Proven track record in sales within the retail sector preferably in IT solutions or related field
- A minimum of 35 years of experience in technical sales preferably within the IT solutions or retail technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and the ability to translate technical solutions into business benefits.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a timeconscious and timeeffective manner
- Resultsdriven mindset with a passion for exceeding targets
- Fluent in Spanish and English required
