CNA or Nurse Assistant

We currently have an opening for a CNA Nurse Assistant position at Serene Nursing Services. In this role you would be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse assisting with activities of daily living monitoring vital signs and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop care plans among other duties.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse or registered nurse.

Assist with activities of daily living including bathing dressing and feeding.

Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure temperature and pulse.

Assist with mobility and transfers ensuring patient safety.

Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Assist with airway management and respiratory support as needed.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.

Provide emotional support to patients and their families.

Document patient information accurately and timely.

Requirements

Requirements:

Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program.

Experience in hospice care primary care or other healthcare settings is preferred.

Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.

Familiarity with airway management techniques and respiratory support equipment.

Ability to perform basic nursing skills such as taking vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions is a plus.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
