Holiday Inn Express & Suites Manteca City Center is seeking a Weekend Breakfast Attendant to join our team of professionals in an established hotel property. Our Attendants keep the breakfast area running smoothly and guarantee that our customers have a great start to their day. Responsibilities include setting up and clearing food service stations ensuring items remain fully stocked at all times and cleaning/stocking after breakfast service. Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare food and beverages for service to guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards
- Clear and clean tables promptly and efficiently. Clean and/or wipe down tables chairs walls windows mirrors and floors as necessary
- Perform department/outlet opening or closing duties as required. Ensure that waitstaff stations are clean and maintained throughout the shift
- Follow hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any safety/service incident to the supervisor or manager on duty
- Take action to solve guest problems/complaints and use established guidelines for any service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction
- Work as a team and communicate and coordinate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service
- May receive guest payments and process transactions as outlined in the cash and charge procedures as needed
- May assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- CA Food Handler s certification or ability to obtain immediately
- Previous restaurant service experience is preferred
- Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about people and service
- Ability to pleasantly and professionally communicate when interacting with guests and employees
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to work early morning shifts
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays
