Introduction: We are seeking a highly motivated and immediately available Chartered Accountant (SA) for a contracttopermanent position based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have completed their articles at one of the Big 4 accounting firms and will bring a strong analytical mindset exceptional problemsolving skills and a keen eye for detail to our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
- Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets forecasts and financial plans.
- Internal Controls: Evaluate and improve internal control systems to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Management Reporting: Provide insightful financial analysis and reports to support strategic decisionmaking.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments and senior management to drive financial performance and business growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification.
- Experience: Completed articles at one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle or similar ERP systems).
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
