Grower Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Grower Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting with specific experience in the agricultural sector. This role involves managing financial records processing payments and providing accurate financial reports for our growers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for growers.
• Process grower payments ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports related to grower accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements and grower accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable specific to grower transactions.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for grower operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve financial controls.
• Provide financial support and guidance to growers addressing any questions or concerns.
• Conduct periodic audits and reviews of grower accounts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 35 years of accounting experience preferably in the agricultural industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage Famous etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
