What You Will Do

Reports to the Senior Director of Sales our Director of Sales responsible for our Club and Alternate channels you will have ownership of all current and future channel accounts nationwide for Deep Indian Kitchen in partnership with headquarters and our brokers. This role entails forging and continuing to nurture dynamic partnerships with headquarters and brokers. The Club sector spans accounts such as Costco Sam’s Club and BJ’s; while Alternate channels encompass online/rapid delivery grocers drugstores convenience stores and military. Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with our retailers to drive growth for them with customized plans based on their needs. Daytoday coordination and presentations with buyers distributors and brokers to ensure all plans are communicated on time and executed in full and relationships are maintained.
  • Following up following up and following up until meetings are booked or deals are closed.
  • Adaptation of centralized trade materials and data to fit assigned accounts and creation of new.
  • Providing tailored sales materials as required (with backing from our Insights & Analytics team).
  • Drive the creation execution and tracking of promotional and slotting/freefill plans aligned with regional targets. While championing regional field and shopper marketing promotions in coordination with the marketing team to maximize impact and market penetration.
  • Crafting precise forecasts by account and item and collaborating closely with operations to guarantee exceptional customer service.
  • Optimization of product mix planogram locations and secondary placement by account.
  • Conducting indepth analysis of brand product pricing merchandising promotions and service performance for designated accounts with proactive recommendations to drive accelerated growth. Vigilant monitoring of competitors and marketplace dynamics to glean actionable intelligence.
  • Closing outofstock and void gaps for authorized items. Seamlessly executing orders and authorizations with precision. Collaborating with finance for deduction/chargeback management to ensure optimal financial outcomes.

Who You Are

We are seeking a Director of Sales Club and Alt Channel to own and develop expansion in both channels. You will have a proven track record selling distribution into new accounts expanding distribution in existing accounts optimizing promotions and demos to efficiently drive growth managing budget and forecasting working cross functionally to develop new Club specific offerings and driving execution of go to market strategies.

We need the right cultural add who can thrive building out a business for a brand that’s on fire and investing but still small. That means an ability to not only be scrappy and persistent when hunting but also an ability to think strategically and develop strong relationships sales stories and strategic plans with execution that drives ROI. Our ideal candidate will also have passion for food and CPG growth
brand experience. You are someone who actively contributes to team culture who loves an opportunity to create structure and build out the Club/Alt channel team as we grow.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS
  • 10 years sales experience in CPG preferably with food and emerging brand experience
  • Strong forecasting budgeting and analytical ability
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and proactive mindset
  • Aptitude using Microsoft Office suite SPINS and IRI
  • Ability to motivate prioritize and organize within an ambiguous context that’s subject to change
  • Location flexible but must live close to an airport
  • Willingness to work remotely and travel up to 60%
