Job Description

MRH Rehab is looking for an outpatient physical therapist that can help in the Athletic Trainer scope.MRH Rehab is a rural clinic that provides the unique opportunity to treat a variety of conditions ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics orthopedics postop sports medicine vestibular/concussion and longterm neurological conditions. MRH offers a supportive collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment with mentorship and continuing education. MRH qualifies as a Public Student Loan Forgiveness employer.MRH is located in Craig Colorado just 45 miles west of Steamboat Springs CO Ski Resort. Craig offers many opportunities for local outdoor recreation camping rafting paddle boarding kayaking skiing/snowboarding mountain biking hunting fishing etc. Why sit in traffic driving to the mountains when you can live here Essential Functions and Basic Duties: Position Specific Performance Expectations: Meets the patients goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary team. Diagnoses and manages movement dysfunction and enhances physical and functional abilities. Restores maintains and promotes not only optimal physical function but optimal wellness and fitness and optimal quality of life as it relates to movement and health. Prevents the onset symptoms and progressions of impairments functional limitations and disabilities that may result from diseases disorders conditions or injuries. Recommends use of assistive devices and provides gait training as deemed necessary. Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians nurses social workers and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences. Documents patient care services via EMR charting using defensible documentation in a timely and concise manner in compliance with industry standards. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infectioncontrol policies and protocols. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; participates in professional societies. Develops rehab and hospital staff by providing information; developing and conducting inservice training programs. Complies with federal state and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Strives to promote health creates a safe and effective treatment environment motivates others has a good bedside manner listens analyzes information and is quality focused. Participates in ongoing professional development to maintain a level of clinical practice consistent with best practice standards. This includes seeking opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills and utilizing these newly acquired skills in the provision of care and for growth and development of the department and hospital. Critically assesses self to improve clinical and professional performance. Advocates for the physical therapy profession. Performs other duties as assigned. Schoolbased physical therapists (in addition to above expectations): Collaborates with the schoolbased team to help determine and carryout Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); identify a student s annual goals and determine the services supports modifications and accommodations that are required for the student to achieve them. Home health physical therapists (in addition to above expectations): Provide inhome physical therapy services to homebound patients and works in collaboration with the home health interdisciplinary team. Organization Wide Performance Expectations: Demonstrates 100% commitment to performing according to the CHOICE values of MRH and representing the organization in a positive and professional manner. Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication and good working relationships with all patients staff and vendors. Adheres to MRH attire/dress code per policies and procedures. Utilizes initiative; strives to maintain steady level of productivity; selfmotivated; manages activity and time. Completes annual education training inservice and licensure/certification requirements; attends departmental and organizational staff meetings or reads meeting minutes. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time as scheduled; completes work within designated timeframes. Actively participates in departmental and facility performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Strives to uphold regulatory requirements to ensure continual compliance with departmental hospital state and federal regulations and policies. Follows policies and procedures for infection control safety and risk management to ensure a safe environment for patients public and staff. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions). Must be able to legally work in the United States. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable) Must complete employee health meeting. Required Education/Licensure/Certification: Active Colorado Physical Therapy License (DORA) or compact license. Current CPR (BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire per MRH Policy). Valid Driver s License if assigned to work at location other than main campus Experience: New graduates welcome to apply.
