HARCOM CIVIL PTY LTD is locally owned Civil Construction company that has been operating in the Greater Geelong Region for over 50 years. Continued growth over the past 12 months has resulted in an opportunity for a graduate engineer to join our hardworking and friendly team.
The Role:
Answering to the General Manager and with a primary focus on Safety your duties will include coordinating daytoday job activities project reporting estimating quality assurance/control procuring materials and contract administration. The role will be based between the head office in Lara and various sites around Geelong.
To be successful in the position you must have the following:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or any related field
Solid Windowsbased operating system knowledge and skills.
Microsoft Project or Primavera experience would be beneficial.
Solid communication telephone & organizational skills.
Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Analytical and observation skills.
Ability to problem solve.
An interest in developing both technical and project management skills.
Current Victorian Drivers License
Responsibilities:
Create designs that utilize a variety of materials
Inspect project sites to ensure they meet relevant codes and are progressing properly
Forecast design and construction time frames
Analyse photographs drawings and maps to inform the direction of projects as well as the overall budget constraints
Perform and adjust quantity calculations for practical and budgetary purposes
Ensure project feasibility through continual evaluation of structural integrity and design practicality
Using a range of computer software for developing detailed designs
Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries
Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
Managing budgets and project resources
Resolving design and development problems
