Staff Accountant

Job Description:

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in our accounting operations ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This position involves a variety of accounting tasks including preparing financial statements performing account reconciliations maintaining the general ledger and supporting the monthend close process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.
• Perform general ledger accounting duties including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthend and yearend close processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Participate in process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• Perform other accounting duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• 24 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP) preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus.
