Civil/Structural Engineer
Below are Civil/Structural Engineering responsibilities and activities that define expectations for fulfilling
this position. The individual will work on a variety of different type(s) and size(s) of global capital
projects.
Responsibilities/Activities:
This position will predominately include structural design (i.e. Structural Steel Concrete Foundations
Piling Pipe Supports etc.)
Assist with the Scope development during Project Definition Phase
Provide overall responsibility for Code compliance and Structural Steel connection approval
Provide input to the threedimensional (SP3D) and (TEKLA) Models
Support Civil Construction activities with clarification and/or technical support
Ensure that environmental regulations Safety and Loss Prevention Principles are considered in the
detailed design
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Structural Engineering
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years experience in Civil/Structural Design

Proficient use of Civil Engineering Design tools STAAD PRO /Foundation3D/MAT3D/RAM
Connection
Proficient use of International standards (AISC ACI EURO BS etc.)
Retrofit/ Revamp project experience.
Experiences in detailed design phase of projects

Project Related Goals would include:
Design safe and reliable Structural Steel and Foundation systems that meet project requirements.
Complete detail design of Civil/Structural scope of project ontime and within budget.
Elimination of all Civil/Structural design errors.
Work well with other Project Team members.
