Climate change is causing deep uncertainty at all levels of society with climate volatility reducing the security of all landbased assets and posing a multilevel security threat for the functioning of enterprises societies and governments.

Mitiga is a spinoff of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center which hosts MareNostrum one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe.

Mitigas mission is firmly rooted in employing cuttingedge science and technology to mitigate the multifaceted risks posed by climatedriven perils. Our approach spans a spectrum of temporal scales from realtime and annual forecasts to projections spanning the next century. This comprehensive perspective on risk coupled with our capacity to transfer risks to capital markets via catastrophe bonds positions us to significantly contribute to enhanced climate mitigation resilience and equity.

Tasks

YOUR IMPACT

• Reviews specifications and design documents offering insightful feedback to enhance software quality.
• Develops clear and comprehensive test plans and cases ensuring thorough testing of software.
• Prioritizes estimates plans and coordinates testing activities efficiently.
• Develops and executes automation scripts to streamline the testing process.
• Communicates issues to the development team for resolution.
• Conducts regression testing to maintain software integrity.
• Aligns testing activities with client expectations for successful solution delivery.
• Facilitates smooth software deployment by coordinating with development and operations teams.
• Interacts with clients to understand and define system requirements for effective testing.
• Collaborates with the CTO to design robust and scalable software solutions.
• Delivers highquality solutions within specified timelines and budget constraints.
• Prepares reports and documentation on software status and operation for transparency and clarity.
• Actively involved in collecting user requirements and developing user stories and work plans.

Requirements

WHO YOU ARE

• Experienced QA Engineer with over 8 years of expertise in quality assurance methodologies and managing developer groups in consultancy settings.
• Passionate about SaaS technologies APIs and operational services thriving in dynamic environments.
• Positive adaptable and proactive team member contributing to team success with creative and professional approaches.
• Proficient in software development testing and QA methodologies with a strong understanding of agile methodologies.
• Skilled in creating clear and comprehensive test plans and cases proficient in white box and black box testing.
• Advanced testing skills in Python complemented by some experience in Java tools (desired but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments and highperformance computing environments.
• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
• Fluent in English and Spanish effective communicator with diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive independent worker with attention to detail and efficiency committed to continuous improvement.
• Maintains reliability and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
