Job Title: SAP Linux Certified Administrator

Location: Fairfax VA /(Hybrid & Remote)

Duration: Long term contract

We are seeking an experienced SAP Linux Certified Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our SAP environments on Linux servers. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP architecture Linux operating systems and related technologies to ensure optimal performance reliability and security of our SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Configuration:

• Install and configure SAP applications on Linuxbased servers.
• Perform system upgrades and apply patches to SAP environments.
• Configure and manage SAP system landscapes (development test production)

System Administration:

• Monitor SAP system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform regular system maintenance tasks including backups restores and disaster recovery planning.
• Manage user access and security within SAP systems.

Optimization and Tuning:

• Optimize system performance through regular tuning and maintenance.
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks in SAP applications and Linux environments.

Support and Maintenance:

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP users.
• Collaborate with SAP functional and development teams to address systemrelated issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations processes and procedures.
• Generate and analyze system performance and usage reports.
• Report on system health and recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.

Certifications

• Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) is a must.
• SAP Certified Technology Associate SAP System Administration (SAP HANA as a Database) with Linux

Experience:

• Minimum of 35 years of experience in SAP system administration on Linux platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red Hat SUSE Ubuntu) and commandline tools.
• Experience with SAP Basis administration SAP HANA and other SAP databases.

Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA migration and upgrade processes.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware KVM).
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and principles.
