Behavioral Psych RN - Nights

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for an RN Behavioral/Psychiatric. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Assignment Start Date: 7/22/2024

13 weeks Nights 12hour shift 36 hours guaranteed weekly

A registered nurse (RN) executes comprehensive nursing care activities in the Geropsychiatric Unit. This position is responsible for assessing monitoring recording and reporting symptoms or changes in patient conditions. RNs are required to maintain accurate patient reports and medical histories perform mental and physical assessments administer medication and treatment to patients provide assistance to patients with daily activities and observe reactions. They are also responsible for managing activities within the therapeutic milieu including daily groups education 1:1 with individual patients and collaborating with other members of the treatment team to ensure the best possible care for the patients. Complete individualized treatment plans for each patient upon admission and ongoing with the multidisciplinary treatment team.

• Plan implement and coordinate nursing care activities for patients
• Conduct therapies following the patients diagnosis and needs.
• Perform treatment intervention following physician orders such as medication administration and medical treatment orders.
• Collaborate with physicians multidisciplinary team members and outside health and social agencies.
• Provide efficient discharge plans and obtain accurate histories at admission
• Complete all required documentation relevant to patients in a timely efficient manner. This includes but is not limited to
• Admission paperwork
• Assessments (mental and physical)
• Progress notes
• Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and regulatory standards

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• At least 1 year of previous nursing experience preferred.
• Medical terminology required

Education:

• A 2year Associate degree or diploma from a 3year Nursing program is required.
• Bachelors degree preferred

Licenses Certifications and Registration:

• Must possess a valid State of New Hampshire RN license
• BLS certification required

EMR System: EPIC experience preferred

Shift: Nights 7p7a. The hospital has the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13week contract
