Mammography Technologist

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for an Mammography Technologist. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Fairfield IA 52556

Assignment Start Date: 8/5/2024

13 weeks Days 8hour shift 40 hours with 36 hours guaranteed weekly

To perform radiographic and mammographic imaging examinations and procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision but under the direction of the radiologist and/or ordering physician for diagnosis and possibly treatment. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of department operation as trained and required.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Previous Xray/Mammography experience Preferred

Education:

• Must be a Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Certification in mammography required ARRT (R) (M)
• Must be currently registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Currently holds an Iowa Permit to Practice Mammography from the Iowa Department of Public Health or is eligible with the state requirements
• Continuous Training: Must maintain continuing education standards to meet requirements of the Permit to Practice as set by the Iowa Department of Public Health as well as those required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• BLS through the American Heart Association is required

EMR System: EPIC experience preferred

Shift: Fulltime days. MF 8:00a 4:30p; NO WEEKENDS NO HOLIDAYS

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• A high degree of empathetic listening skills tact and kindness toward others.
• Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Technical and critical thinking skills about sound nursing judgment.
