Job Description

Summary: The Production Superintendent oversees product manufacturing quality and raw material management across multiple lines in a 24hour process. This role involves employee training supporting corporate goals and ensuring safety and productivity. The superintendent may also act as Plant Manager in their absence.

Position Info:

  • Title: Production Superintendent
  • Client: Johns Manville
  • Duration: Full Time
  • Location: 814 Richmond Ave Richmond IN 47374

Responsibilities:

  • Manage product manufacturing quality and raw material management.
  • Supervise resources to meet production goals and assist in budget preparation.
  • Develop controls for material and labor usage.
  • Plan and schedule work to maximize productivity.
  • Use operating indicators to control costs and material usage.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and product specifications.
  • Maintain strict compliance with financial legal regulatory and environmental requirements.
  • Support safety improvements by reducing OSHA incidents and lost time accidents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operational leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve process issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage a team of 6 salaried employees including performance evaluations and staffing decisions.
  • Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Minimal travel required (010 days per year).

Additional Notes:

  • Work environment typical of a manufacturing facility with potential exposure to environmental conditions such as cold heat noise and moving mechanical parts.
