Senior Python Engineer

• Our leading U.S. financial services client is looking to bring on a Sr. Python / DevOps Engineer to aid in their legacy product migration.
• In this role you will be responsible for modernizing their Windows COTS platform in addition to evaluating the legacy monolithic architecture breaking out the rules engine and providing customized data structures as the team moves to a microservices model.

• You have built fullstack systems (preferably architected for speed and distributed computing) with demonstrated experience in software engineering.
• You embrace DevOps principles including continuous delivery and ongoing support of production applications.
• You love to learn new technologies keep abreast of the latest technologies within cloud architecture and drive your organization to adapt to emerging best practices.
• It would be awesome if you have a robust portfolio on GitHub and/or opensource contributions you are proud to share.

• At least 5 years of experience delivering applications from architectural design to production implementation.
• At least 3 years of handson experience in deploying scalable distributed systems or multinode database paradigms via Docker/Kubernetes.
• At least 3 years of experience with cloud software design containerized microservices & distributed caching
• with Spring Boot and AWS (highly preferred).
• Sr. Level Python coding and concept knowledge.
• Experience in EndtoEnd Development You build it you own it mentality and practices (Design Develop Test
• and Deploy).
• Experience in Unit Testing your applications and code to deployments.
• Working knowledge of Window COTS products & applications.
• Experience in Agile Software Development.
• Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills.
• Passion for software development the latest trends and innovation.
• Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role):
• Handson experience with Perl.
• Application Modernization experience with COTS applications.
• Prior experience working in the financial services industry.
• Recent exp working in an AWS environment (with tools and services such as EMR Lambda EC2 Kinesis S3
• ElastiCache/Redis FSx).
