Job Description

Position Summary:
Join our team as Director of Nursing Operations where you will lead and support the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in overseeing all nursing and patient care services within our hospital organization. This pivotal role involves assessing planning coordinating implementing and evaluating nursing practices across multiple units. You will assume 24/7 responsibility for your assigned areas ensuring highquality safe and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Provide strategic direction and management for one to two departments on a 24hour basis.
  • Resource Management: Manage budgets optimize resource utilization and oversee efficient staffing and equipment maintenance.
  • Quality and Performance: Drive quality outcomes lead performance improvement initiatives and monitor service quantity and quality.
  • Staff Development: Recruit develop and mentor clinical staff to ensure competency and professional growth.
  • Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with staff system departments and managers to achieve organizational goals.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Preferred Education:
  • Masters Degree in Nursing Business or a related field
Minimum Experience:
  • 5 years of experience in nursing discipline or specialty
Preferred Experience:
  • 35 years of progressive management experience
Required Certifications/Licensure:
  • Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
Preferred Certifications/Licensure:
  • Specialty or Administration certification desired
Qualifications:
  • Education: BSN from an accredited nursing school; MSN or master s in healthcarerelated field preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment
  • Certifications: Current licensure and AHA BLS certification required
Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven leadership ability with a focus on hospital operations
  • Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for nursing professionalism
Physical Demands:
  • No security clearance required
