San Mateo CA $110000$125000/year FullTime Onsite Construction
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting new opportunity with a growing general contractor looking to hire a fulltime Controller to help with managing the accounting department of the company in a handson and supervisory capacity.
This position is entirely onsite – local applicants only.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting new opportunity with a growing general contractor looking to hire a fulltime Controller to help with managing the accounting department of the company in a handson and supervisory capacity.
This position is entirely onsite – local applicants only.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Manage the accounting department and provide handson support for accounting responsibilities
- Accurately produce jobcosting and workinprogress reports
- Monitor all financial reports and suggest costsaving opportunities where necessary
- Support payroll processing and oversee payroll functions
- Manage the monthend close processes – reconcile accounts to the general ledger as needed
- Accurately prepare financial documents – financial forecasts and business reports
- Other duties as needed
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field required
- 3 years managing an accounting department required
- 5 years of experience in accounting or related field required
- Experience using Sage software highly preferred
- Prior experience working in Construction industry required
- Ability to work in fastpaced environment and strong organizational skills
- Experience using Excel (entry to midlevel)
