Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. • The location is in Chillicothe OH United States
• The working schedule for this role is Nights 7p7a; will be asked to float to similar units and may be asked to float to our other locations floating will be in similar acuity or lower level acuity than what they are hired for. Will work every other weekend
• The duration is for a contractor for 13 weeks
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday coverage is required
• 36 hours guaranteed

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate complete health care records and reports
• Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
• Recording patient vital signs and medical information
  
• Monitoring reporting and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
  
• Administering nonintravenous medications
• Assessing implementing planning or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members

Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN state licensure
• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate unit for this role
• BLS/BCLS ACLS certification
  
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients families physicians and hospital staff
  
• Basic computer skills
• Professional friendly attitude

The Staff Nurse RN provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to develop implement and evaluate patients plan of care; while creating an atmosphere that supports our mission to care to heal to educate. The Staff Nurse RN as the primary care giver provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other care team members the physician and the patient/family to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The incumbent has access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others. The Staff Nurse RN works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and under the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing.

The candidates will be asked to float to similar units and may be asked to float to our other locations: Adena Greenfield Adena Pike and Adena Fayette. Floating will be in similar acuity or lower level acuity than what they are hired for. Will work every other weekend.
