Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at WTCP you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment.

• The location is in Hilo Hawaii
• The working schedule for this role: Shifts will vary between 8 10 and 12 hours and can be Days Evenings Nights and Weekends/Holidays and vary between units ASU and PACU; On Call shift 03 times per month (8hour night and 24hour weekends/holidays)
• The duration is as a contactor for 13 weeks
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday requirements are as needed
• Guaranteed hours: No guarantee of hours or shift preference
• Equipment used: PCA Pumps Pyxis Braun IV Pumps Cryocuff SCDs Bair PAWS Warmers HP Monitors Phillips Monitors

• The pay: $63.36 Hourly ($1476.00 Taxable $805.00 Stipend) $2281.00 Weekly $9124.00 Monthly Gross

Key Responsibilities:

• Caring of patients pre op phase I and phase II recovery
• PACU nurses care for patients after surgery and must demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and carrying for patients in Phase I
• Candidates for PACU jobs require critical care skills to assess incision sites monitor body temperature and track other indicators of stability or complications
• Ideal candidates for postanesthesia care units have natural abilities to think critically

Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN state licensure
• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate unit for this role
• 2 years experience as a critical care RN (i.e. ER & ICU) in a hospital setting may be accepted substitute for PACU nurse experience
• BLS/BCLS ACLS certification
• Other specialtyrelated certifications are preferred and may be required for specific positions (i.e. NIHSS & TNCC)
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
  
• Past experience in critical care and surgical nursing is a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients families physicians and hospital staff
  
• Basic computer skills
