• The location is in Hilo HI
• The working schedule for this role is night shift in the medical unit; scheduled 36 hours per week following first full week of orientation will be required to work various shift lengths and various days. Must be flexible.
• Floating to other units/departments: May float to Cardiovascular Unit
• Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept: Medical 77
• Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: Medical 1:6 for days and eves 1:8 for nights
• The duration is as a contactor for 13 weeks
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday requirements are as needed
• Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: pyxis; wound vac; chest tube
• EMR used: Meditech
• No guarantee of hours no guarantee of shift preference
• The pay: $63.06 Hourly ($1440.00 Taxable $830.00 Stipend) $2270.00 Weekly $9080.00 Monthly Gross

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate complete health care records and reports
• Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
• Recording patient vital signs and medical information
  
• Monitoring reporting and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
  
• Administering nonintravenous medications
• Assessing implementing planning or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members

Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN state licensure
• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate unit for this role
• BLS/BCLS ACLS certification
  
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients families physicians and hospital staff
  
• Basic computer skills
• Professional friendly attitude
