Job Description

The Project Manager oversees all facets of project management including procurement scope scheduling cost control quality assurance communications risk management and stakeholder engagement. This role requires close collaboration with the production team and stakeholders and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and clients. Additionally the Project Manager will incorporate tenant coordinator tasks ensuring tenant concerns are addressed construction activities are coordinated with tenants to minimize disruption and effective communication is maintained between tenants and the construction team. A degree or diploma in a related field and relevant certifications are required for this position.

Location: Richmond BC

Responsibilities:

  • Update Schedule with Scheduling Manager
  • Monitoring and updating daily Sign and Sign out via Sitemax.
  • Up to date with Accounts Payable and TimberScan
  • Prepare Markup Schedule of Values
  • Check and approve T&M records
  • Approve material orders and timely deliveries
  • Attending all site meetings with trades and Engineers
  • Meet with Property Managers and residents as needed and requested
  • Work with all trades for any issues that arise
  • Oversee work with trades site superintendents foremen project coordinator and tenant liaison
  • Follow up with SVR and SI for trade completeness and QA
  • Issue PO CO CR and RFIs as required including review and release
  • Work with BD to ensure all scopes are covered and POd
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants coordinating construction activities to minimize disruption.
  • Facilitate communication between tenants and the construction team.
  • Conduct regular site visits and organize tenant meetings.
  • Follow up on trade completeness and quality assurance.


Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in a related field
  • Three years of experience in a management role and/or five years of experience in residential commercial or highrise construction.
  • A welldefined sense of diplomacy including solid negotiation conflict resolution and people management skills
  • Ability to manage coordination efforts in construction maintenance projects with various parties such as architects project engineers and landscaping installers
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Proven experience preparing and conducting postimplementation evaluations
  • Ability to create realistic schedules to support the timely completion of construction maintenance projects
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
