We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join our rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of Australian Public Practice experience a passion for client engagement and managing their own client portfolio as well as a love for leading a team of accountants.

Job summary:

Your responsibilities will include overseeing client accounts providing strategic financial advice ensuring compliance with tax regulations and fostering strong client relationships. If you are passionate about client engagement and team leadership we invite you to bring your expertise to our growing firm.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients ensuring their financial needs are met and providing exceptional service.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic financial advice.
  • Manage tax compliance including the preparation and lodgement of tax returns staying uptodate with changes in tax legislation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accountants providing guidance support and professional development opportunities.
  • Delegate tasks effectively managing team workloads and ensuring timely completion of assignments.
  • Assist clients with business planning budgeting and financial forecasting identifying opportunities for financial improvement.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal accounting processes and systems implementing best practices.
  • Participate in the development and execution of firmwide strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new clients ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of their financial needs.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for new business development and client acquisition.

By fulfilling these responsibilities you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients financial success and contributing to the growth and excellence of our firm.

Skills and experience:

  • 8 years of Australian Public Practice experience.
  • Experience managing a client base.
  • High level of integrity / honesty.
  • Xero Practice Management (XPM) Xero Tax.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Communicate effectively with all staff clients and management.
