Qualifications & Certifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in supply chain management Engineering or a related field from a recognized Chinese university or an equivalent international institution.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in expediting supply chain management or procurement within the EPC industry with a strong focus on chemical projects.
Skill / Attributes / Competencies
- Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software and supply chain management tools. Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge: Indepth understanding of international logistics procurement processes and supplier management. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations specific to chemical projects in China.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English with the ability to effectively interact with vendors suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problemsolving and analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and mentoring a team of expeditors.
- Certification: Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent are highly desirable.
Responsibilities and Other Skills
- Lead Expediting Activities: Oversee and manage all expediting activities to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment for chemical projects.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers vendors and subcontractors to track order status expedite deliveries and resolve any delays or issues.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain expediting schedules ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and uptodate documentation of all expediting activities including status reports delivery schedules and progress updates.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that all materials and equipment meet the required specifications and standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to project managers procurement teams and other stakeholders on expediting progress and any potential risks.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues that may impact delivery timelines including logistical challenges production delays and vendor performance issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance expediting processes and efficiency.
