Technical Facet SMEProject Manager

Looking for a Technical Facet SME/Project Manager!! Extensive Healthcare and Facets experience is an absolute MUST!! Only considering FACETS SME!!

Location: Owings Mills MD (Primarily working remote but will have a project team meeting maybe once a quarter or so so very highly prefer candidate local to the DMV area)

Manager Notes:

• Trying to build more competency within team to support facets. Needs someone who can lead facets upgrades and contribute to technical work.
• Looking to modernize their legacy systems / custom surrounds. They have some real time connections to facets that they support via Tibco. A lot of connections between Facets and upstream and downstream streams
• Needs Indepth technical knowledge around core facets and all of the ancillary products.
• Dev skills of utmost importance as they will work with more junior Devs to explain how things work.
• Needs 810 years in technical support position of Facets. Just moved facets to AWS so any cloud exp would be ideal.
• At minimum some exp working with Informatica. SpringBoot / Java exp. They support Oracle and SQL Server database. Facets runs on both so having strong SQL skills would be ideal. They develop a lot of extensions that run in facets so .Net (required) and Angular exp would be ideal.
• Working with Developers day in and day out so needs to have some mix of Dev skills.

Job Description

PURPOSE:
Implements the engineering best practices required to produce and deploy high quality products. Ensures engineering alignment with functional and technical requirements. Handles the design implementation testing and maintenance of products as assigned ensuring that they are consistent with the companys architectural roadmap product development strategy and quality standards. Develops project plans with estimates and ensures development stays organized and adheres to the plan. Leads stakeholder and product owner meetings to define software requirements and creates highly complex systems. Acts as a mentor to junior engineers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
25% Lead the strategic direction of the design development and implementation of multiple applications. Performs and leads the detail technical design debugging coding code review and testing of new applications as well as enhancements of existing applications. Compile assess and report data results from software testing and analysis. Experience building cloud ready applications. Design and implement software application from both a code point of view and a deployment point of view. Demonstrated experience with frontend and backend programing and integration frameworks and tools. Estimate the effort required to develop test and deploy software applications

25% Learn and fully understand business domains and functions. Participates in collaborative meetings with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate both short and long term activities between business areas. Ensures that product engineering remains consistent with the companys architectural roadmap and product development strategy while improving the performance of existing software. Articulate the tradeoffs benefits and risks of proposed architecture and design solutions

25% Researches analyzes and implements bestpractice engineering methodologies and processes for products. Provides technical guidance to development teams and oversee the technical aspects of the project. Provide necessary guidance to the teams related to quality engineering (Test Driven Development Behavior Driven Development Test automation performance testing building quality in from the beginning and test data management). Develop and implement application on proposed architecture overseeing issues such as migration. Extend opensource libraries and systems as necessary to meet the needs of the team. Play a crucial role in product scoping and roadmap / architecture discussions. Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities trends and best.

25% Mentors more junior and senior engineers inperson or via code reviews and assists in problem solving. Provide mentorship administrative oversight evaluations and personal development of junior staff. Assist the application/solution architect in the architectural vision and design process. .Assist and triage production issues and propose fixes

Education Level: Bachelors Degree

Education Details: Information Technology or Computer Science

Experience: 10 years Experience in the software development life cycle (SDLC) and ensures adherence to quality and delivery management systems

In Lieu of Education
In lieu of a Bachelors degree an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Works with stakeholders as well as technical and analytical counterparts to define constraints and develop requirements and concept of operations documentation.
Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g. Azure AWS)
Knowledge of database technologies (e.g. cloud SQL Oracle Mongo DB PostgreSQL etc.)
Fundamental knowledge of software engineers best practices agile methodologies CI/CD pipelines
