Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has openings for a Medical Laboratory Technician(MLT). We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Carbondale IL 62901

Assignment Start Date: 7/15/2024

13 weeks Varied 10or12hour shifts 40 hours per week

ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Observe safety and biohazard precautions.
• Performs patient testing in assigned areas of the laboratory.
• Performs and maintains QC and QA for all tests performed.
• Operates troubleshoots repairs and performs preventative maintenance on equipment in their assigned section(s).
• Inventories and orders supplies in their assigned section(s).
• Cleans laboratory and equipment.
• Reviews procedures annually in technical sections as established in the Laboratory QA Plan.
• Orients new personnel and teaches trainees/students.
• Knows and performs the duties of the Laboratory/Pathology Representative Phlebotomist and Technical Assistant.
• Works with other hospital staff and leadership to ensure that the testing needs of all patients are being met at all times.
• Documents and discloses all analysis errors that occur.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience

Education:

• Associates degree is required

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Eligible to sit for MLT (ASCP) or equivalent
• Must be certified within 6 months of hire

EMR System: EPIC Knowledge/experience preferred

Shift: 11 am till 1930pm. The shift will be WedSun off Mon and Tues. Set rotation.
