Position Summary: GDCI is looking for a qualified Linux Admin with 10 years experience of working for companies in related fields.
The candidate is responsible for effective installation/configuration operation and maintenance of Linux systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Install configure and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.
2. Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability and reliability of Linuxbased infrastructure.
3. Configure and Monitor Pacemaker cluster and Redhat Cluster.
4. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement Linuxbased solutions that meet business needs.
5. Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
6. Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and maintain business continuity.
7. Automate system administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
8. Manage user accounts permissions and access controls to ensure proper system security and data integrity.
9. Install configure and maintain network services including DNS DHCP and LDAP.
10. Collaborate with software developers and system analysts to troubleshoot and resolve software compatibility issues on Linux platforms.
11. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance and scalability.
Desired Skills & Experience:
1. Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems including Ubuntu CentOS and Red Hat.
2. Hands on experience on Redhat and Pacemaker cluster.
3. Hands on experience on webservice like Appache Tomcat and Iplanet.
4. Understanding of CA and SSL certificate.
5. Proficient in Linux commandline interface (CLI) and shell scripting.
6. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
7. Familiarity with networking concepts protocols and services including TCP/IP DHCP DNS and VPN.
8. Knowledge of storage technologies such as RAID SAN and NAS.
9. Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Linux systems.
10. Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
11. Ability to work independently and in a teamoriented environment collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
12. Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
13. Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
