Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and implement electrical control systems and equipment.

• Perform routine maintenance inspections and troubleshooting of electrical systems and machinery.

• Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant codes and safety standards.

• Plan and manage electrical projects including new installations upgrades and modifications.

• Coordinate with other engineering and production teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Prepare project documentation including specifications wiring diagrams and technical reports.

• Develop and program PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other automated control systems.

• Maintain and improve SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation and control systems to minimize downtime.

• Ensure all electrical systems and activities comply with health safety and environmental regulations.

• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Provide training and support to staff on electrical safety and operational procedures.

• Identify opportunities for improving electrical systems and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry best practices.

• Implement energysaving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate records of all electrical work including maintenance logs schematics and equipment manuals.

• Prepare and present regular reports on electrical system performance and project progress. Ensure proper documentation of all electrical modifications and upgrades.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in the food processing or construction (Residential/commercial/industrial projects experience) or flour milling industry is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems control systems and automation technologies.

• Proficiency in PLC programming SCADA systems and HMI (HumanMachine Interface).

• Experience with electrical design software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical).

• Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards (e.g. NFPA OSHA).

• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if necessary.
