Network Administrator

Job Title: Network Administrator

Location: Albany NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain local area networks (LAN) wide area networks (WAN) and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. routers switches firewalls VPNs).
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs patches and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages and provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to identify and address network needs.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect network data and infrastructure.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
• Maintain an uptodate knowledge of networking technologies and best practices.
• Support and administer thirdparty applications and ensure proper integration with the network.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
• Indepth knowledge of networking hardware protocols and standards (e.g. TCP/IP DNS DHCP VLANs VPNs).
• Handson experience with network management and monitoring tools.
• Experience in security practices and firewall configurations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve network issues quickly.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
