DBA Cloud SQL

Job Title: DBA (Cloud SQL)

Location: Albany NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain database systems to ensure the availability performance and security of our data.
• Manage and optimize SQL databases hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks including backups indexing and integrity checks.
• Monitor database performance and proactively address potential issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Implement database security measures to safeguard sensitive information and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams to design database schemas write complex SQL queries and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Develop and implement strategies for database disaster recovery and high availability.
• Automate routine database administration tasks using scripting languages and database management tools.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with a focus on SQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience in database security best practices and data protection regulations.
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
• Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
