Summary: The Cloud Architect SME role involves designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms. Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise infrastructure and platforms for cloud computing.
• Analyze system requirements and ensure secure integration with current applications.
• Manage component work for enterprisewide Cloud Architecture.
• Develop scalable performant and resilient cloudnative design patterns.
• Create cloudbased architectures for new and existing applications and services.
• Advise USPIS Analytics groups on Cloudbased Microservices/SOA solutions.
• Develop architecture deliverables including bill of materials cost estimations and design parameters.
• Prepare solution descriptions technical approaches and risk mitigation plans.
• Lead cultural change for cloud adoption and participate in developing cloud roadmaps.
• Create and communicate cloud policies procedures standards and reference architectures.
• Identify training needs and deliver training for cloudbased solutions.
• Interface with vendors to ensure standard architecture implementation.
• Provide technical direction and leadership for business information systems projects.
• Ensure alignment of solution design with enterprise architecture and compliance with standards.
• Research and analyze cloud technology trends to make recommendations.
• Apply architecture governance structure to solutions areas.
• Publish and update standards for cloudhosted solutions and manage related projects.
• Serve as an IT SWAT team member for problemsolving in information systems.
• Oversee efforts of direct reports and manage staff for specific projects.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a related field or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 13 years of relevant Cloud Architecture experience.
• Experience in Enterprise Architecture DefenseInDepth principles and cloud environments (SaaS PaaS IaaS).
• Certifications (one or more required):
  • CompTIA Net
  • CompTIA A
  • CompTIA Security
  • CPTE: Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker
  • CISSP CISSPISSEP CISSPISSAP CISSPISSMP preferred
  • CISA: Certified Information Systems Auditor
• Leadership experience in planning and managing security engagements.
• Strong understanding of system development and cloudbased solution standards.
