Job Description
As the Battery Pack Systems Engineer you will lead a team of engineers and technical specialists responsible for designing developing and testing highvoltage battery systems for electric vehicles and energy storage applications. You will play a key role in driving innovation ensuring product quality and meeting customer requirements.
The Director Systems Engineering will be adept at developing & executing strategic initiatives for the systems team and resolving technical issues. Performance is measured by effective project execution.
Responsibilities:
Lead the systems engineering team in the development of highvoltage battery systems for electric vehicles and energy storage applications.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product management manufacturing and quality to ensure product design and development align with company goals and objectives. Monitor systems project performance and provide recommendations as required. Develop and implement engineering processes and best practices to ensure quality and efficiency in product development and testing.
Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs.
Hire train and supervise engineering staff members.
Spearhead various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects and improved processes.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the systems engineering team including mentoring and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide technical solutions to meet their needs.
Stay current with industry trends and developments in highvoltage battery systems and apply this knowledge to product development and testing.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure the availability of highquality materials and components for product development and testing.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards regulations and certifications. Adhere to federal and state regulations.
Adhere to all company policies processes and procedures.
Performs other duties as requested directed or assigned.
Predictable and reliable attendance.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master s degree preferred.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in systems engineering product development or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading and managing a team of engineers and technical specialists.
Strong technical knowledge of highvoltage battery systems including design testing and validation.
Experience with electric vehicles or energy storage systems is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a nontechnical audience.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams and build relationships with customers suppliers and partners.
