Overview:
The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall store operations and ensuring a seamless customer experience. They are responsible for assisting the Store Manager in daytoday activities managing staff and ensuring that the store meets its financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations
- Supervise and motivate staff to achieve sales targets
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues
- Assist in recruiting training and scheduling staff
- Implement visual merchandising standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff
- Assist in creating and implementing sales and promotional strategies
- Handle cash management and daily banking procedures
- Assist in analyzing sales data and preparing reports
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Handle escalated customer complaints and provide solutions
- Assist in conducting staff meetings and training sessions
- Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of retail management experience
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and stock control
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
- Proficiency in using POS systems and MS Office applications
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree is a plus
- Understanding of sales targets and KPIs
- Knowledge of merchandising and visual presentation techniques
- Familiarity with retail laws regulations and standards
