Job Description

Overview:

The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall store operations and ensuring a seamless customer experience. They are responsible for assisting the Store Manager in daytoday activities managing staff and ensuring that the store meets its financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations
  • Supervise and motivate staff to achieve sales targets
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues
  • Assist in recruiting training and scheduling staff
  • Implement visual merchandising standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff
  • Assist in creating and implementing sales and promotional strategies
  • Handle cash management and daily banking procedures
  • Assist in analyzing sales data and preparing reports
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and provide solutions
  • Assist in conducting staff meetings and training sessions
  • Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of retail management experience
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management and stock control
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and MS Office applications
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree is a plus
  • Understanding of sales targets and KPIs
  • Knowledge of merchandising and visual presentation techniques
  • Familiarity with retail laws regulations and standards
  • Proactive and resultsdriven mindset
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
