Senior SCM Specialist

Tasks

• Optimise purchasing and production processes: You analyse and improve processes to increase efficiency and save costs. This may mean reviewing purchasing strategies seeking and selecting suppliers or negotiating prices and contract terms.
• Managing inventory: You ensure that there is enough inventory to meet demand without having too much capital tied up in unnecessary stocks. To do this you implement inventory management systems analyse supply and demand trends and optimise order levels.
• Maintaining relationships with suppliers: You build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply of materials and products. You communicate with suppliers on orders delivery times and quality issues.
• Coordinating logistics operations: You ensure that products are transported from supplier to customer in an efficient and timely manner. This includes planning shipments selecting carriers and monitoring shipments.
• Analysing supply chain data: You collect and analyse data to measure and improve supply chain performance. You use this data to identify bottlenecks optimise processes and manage risks.
• Participating in supply chain projects: You participate in various projects to improve the supply chain such as implementing new technologies automating processes or developing new distribution strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a technical commercial or legal field Check!
• At least 6 years of experience in project management preferably in the energy sector with a smattering of SCM processes This is what we are looking for!
• Communication and negotiation hero Speaking and writing English at top level is a must! Additional languages Bonus!
• Microsoft Office and SAP master Ariba is a plus!
• Leadership in your DNA You can motivate teams and make them bang along Collaboration is key!
