Job Description:

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Shop helper! In this entrylevel position you will support shop supervisors and project managers with a variety of tasks while learning the fundamentals of manufacturing including machinery operation. If you are eager to learn new skills enjoy handson work and get excited about hardware and tool sales you could be the perfect fit for this Shop helper role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide general assistance around the shop including both administrative and technical tasks.
• Aid in shop loading and preparation of work kits.
• Monitor and maintain program schedules.
• Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently.
• Stock raw materials in appropriate quantities and locations.
• Clean and maintain equipment as directed.
• Ensure workers and technicians have the necessary tools to complete their tasks.
• Serve as a liaison between manufacturing teams production control research and development and engineering.
• Assist project managers shop supervisors and the quality inspection team as needed.
• Operate various equipment including band saw cutoff saw belt sander drill press disc grinder and punch press.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers height gauges and micrometers.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or shop work including metal or wood shop classes.
• Strong aptitude for mechanics.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Ability to analyze situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional handeye coordination.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
