Actuarial Analyst

Job Summary

Reporting to Head of Actuarial M.E, the Actuarial Analyst will perform actuarial duties in order to provide highly accurate data and analyses for use by more senior actuaries in relation to reserving, reporting (both statutory and management) or quantitative risk management.

This role will be based in the Life Insurance business of Zurich Middle East in Bahrain.

Job Accountabilities

As Actuarial Analyst, your role will involve:

• Provide basic actuarial services under direct supervision to fulfill routine business requirements and to solve problems with a limited level of complexity diversity.
• Perform statistical analyses, model, monitor and analyze data and develop models or programs for model building and analyses; interpret results of models and analyses.
• Perform more complex analyses as assigned.
• Help support local accounting team on Financial Reporting under IFRS 17 or any other statutory requirements.
• Work with actuarial colleagues to continue to develop understanding of company operations, business objectives and actuarial methodologies.
• Assist in training less experienced actuarial personnel. Demonstrate consistent progress towards local actuarial qualification.
  

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
• Nearly or newly qualified actuary (per recognized actuarial body).
• Life Insurance experience
