Job Description

Position: Senior Project Manager Pump Station and Wastewater
Location: Chicago IL

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead a significant pump station project in Chicago IL. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing largescale construction projects specifically within the pump station and wastewater sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and oversee a major pump station project from inception to completion ensuring all project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Pump Station and Wastewater Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge of pump station systems (mechanical electrical hydraulic) and wastewater treatment processes (primary secondary tertiary treatments and sludge management) to drive project success.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the project adheres to all local state and federal environmental regulations securing necessary permits and maintaining compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans schedules and budgets. Monitor progress manage deviations and ensure timely delivery within budget constraints.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources including manpower equipment and materials to optimize project performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regulatory agencies interdisciplinary teams and local communities to ensure project alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Quality and Safety: Oversee the implementation of robust quality control and assurance programs ensuring all work meets high standards of safety and quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of Construction Management experience with a strong emphasis on serving as a Project Manager for pump station and wastewater projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design and analysis software (e.g. AutoCAD Bentley Systems) and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera P6).
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g. PMP CCM) are highly desirable.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the regulatory and permitting processes in Chicago IL is a plus.
  • References: Strong references from previous employers or clients and a portfolio of successfully completed pump station and wastewater projects.
